FAULHABER BXI drives robotics forward
For decades, we have been a driving force in the development of application-specific drive solutions and have set benchmarks across a wide range of markets. Our ability to anticipate future trends and adapt our production to new requirements makes us the ideal partner when it comes to developing innovative solutions together and bringing them to market quickly. With an exceptionally short time-to-market, new dimensions, and perfectly matched features for robotics, the FAULHABER BXI is a prime example of the efficiency of this process. With this motor, we are introducing the most powerful integrated drive system in our portfolio to date – a direct response to our customers’ needs. Together with them, we develop and manufacture specific drive solutions for a new generation of robotic applications.

Maximum torque with 22GPT HT and 32GPT HT
New, particularly robust gearhead models for the GPT family With the new high-performance gearheads 22GPT HT and 32GPT HT, FAULHABER is expanding its GPT family with two particularly robust models designed for use with high-torque motors. Based on proven gearhead technology, the two new variants offer optimized geometries for increased load capacity, improved dynamics, and maximum performance. Featuring three or four gear stages, a wide range of reduction ratios, and an operating temperature range from -30 °C to +120 °C, they are highly versatile and ideally suited for larger drives with dynamic motion profiles. Powerful and uncompromisingly robust Both HT versions—the 22GPT HT and 32GPT HT—feature a full stainless steel housing that ensures outstanding robustness, stability, and resistance to external influences. This design enables high radial and axial load capacities, allowing for reliable performance and extended service life even under harsh operating conditions such as sudden load changes or emergency stops. These gearheads can indeed support accidental peak torque of up to 14 Nm for the 22GPT HT and 18 Nm for the 32GPT HT. The optimized input speed range allows full exploitation of the motors’ dynamic capabilities without compromising performance, making the HT gearheads particularly suitable for applications demanding both strength and speed. Thanks to their excellent ability to handle high radial and axial forces, they are also well-suited for use in demanding applications where mechanical interface integrity is critical.

Compact powerhouses with versatile configurability
New DC-Motors from the FAULHABER GXR and SXR Families With the expansion of its product portfolio, FAULHABER is introducing several new additions to its range of DC micromotors: the high-performance motors of the new GXR series 1437 with copper-graphite commutation, as well as precious-metal-commutated motors of the proven SXR series in sizes 1424 and 1437. Designed for maximum reliability and flexibility, these drives open up new possibilities for modern, space-saving drive solutions. With a diameter of 14 mm, the new models are perfectly matched to the modular FAULHABER product range – including seamless compatibility with planetary gearheads and magnetic encoders. Product Manager Dario Del Favero explains: “With the new 14-mm motors, users no longer have to compromise on compactness, functionality, or performance. In combination with the precisely matched 14GPT gearhead and the IEP3 encoder, a diameter-compliant complete solution is created, delivering optimum efficiency and maximum dynamics.” Thanks to the precise coordination of components, developers and engineers benefit from perfectly harmonized synergies from a single source. Robust, durable, and individually configurable The GXR and SXR motors feature a durable, robust design and high performance. One contributing factor is the hexagonally wound coil, which enables maximum power density in the smallest space. In addition to various bearing configurations, flexible voltage variants and a wide range of electrical connection options are available. Modifications to the front and rear shaft as well as optimized rotor balancing are also part of the offering. Like all FAULHABER products, the new DC motors are RoHS-compliant and meet the highest quality standards. The wide variety of configuration options allows for precise adaptation to diverse application areas - for example, in high-end optical systems, telescopes and microscopes, as well as in medical applications such as surgical robots or infusion pumps.

Quiet Operation: with 22GPT LN and 32GPT LN
New, low-noise gearhead models for the GPT family FAULHABER expands its successful GPT family with two new high-performance models that stand out for their exceptionally quiet operation: the 22GPT LN and 32GPT LN. These gearheads have been specifically designed for applications where noise reduction is crucial – such as in laboratories, optical devices, medical equipment, or testing and measuring systems. Compact, Powerful, and Quiet Like all models in the GPT series, the new Low Noise variants combine high torque with a compact design and proven reliability. They deliver up to 2.2 Nm and 8 Nm respectively for the 22GPT LN and 32GPT LN in intermittent operation and can manage occasional random peak torques of up to 4 Nm and 12 Nm. Thanks to their optimized design and an input stage with plastic gears, the 22GPT LN and 32GPT LN operate with extremely low noise – without compromising performance, robustness or durability. Compared to the standard version, the low noise variants are able to reduce noise by up to 10 dB. Two planetary gearheads from the FAULHABER GPT LN family arranged on white steps in front of a gray-blue background. Robust for Demanding Conditions The stainless-steel housing provides reliable protection even in challenging environments. The gearheads are rated for a wide temperature range from –30 °C to +110 °C and maintain their high efficiency even during frequent or sudden load changes. This makes them ideal companions for high-torque motors. The new Low Noise models impress not only with their technical performance but also with an excellent price-performance ratio. Users benefit from the proven GPT technology – now enhanced with a noise-optimized solution for sensitive environments.
