Series 09. Rugged Keypads.
Series 09 Rugged Keypads offer high reliability: The modules are designed for E1 applications and functional safety in accordance with ISO 26262 ASIL B and EN ISO 13849 PL d as well as an intelligent control with CAN bus integration. The robust, modular design with sealing levels of up to IP6K7 and the ability to customise and individually select and arrange the keypad legends make these high-quality devices ideally suited for harsh use in heavy duty and special vehicles.

Many HMI applications require status feedback to ensure that they function reliably or can be operated conveniently. For example, the user must be able to know at all times whether the machine or device is switched on or off. Such feedback is just as important in the food and beverage industry as it is with measurement machinery or medical devices. In harsh operating conditions such as those found in heavy duty or special vehicles, visual HMI feedback is very often useful and sometimes even indispensable. Illuminated symbols for pushbuttons also provide quick and easily understood visual recognition of operational status. Illuminated symbols meet these requirements with vivid LED illumination. Whether for status indication or easy location, the red, green, blue, white or red/green LEDs with standard symbols (others on request) provide high-contrast, high-visibility illumination. With its three HMI variants – standard, stainless steel and hygiene – the IO-Link Touch range offers actuators and indicators which are ideal for a wide range of applications in the mechanical engineering industry and far beyond. Thanks to the globally established IO-Link communication interface and programmable connection options, the innovative HMIs can be networked with an advanced machine system via an integrated M12 5-pin screw connection with a mounting depth of just 25.8 mm, making your equipment Industry 4.0-compatible. Freely configurable HMIs. The many potential uses for the HMIs are based on a freely selectable configuration which can be precisely aligned to the respective application – from illumination, to symbols, to the switching function. For example, the illumination can switch on with a deliberate delay when actuated. Or HMI operational readiness can be signalled by green illumination which changes to yellow when actuated, and to red a few seconds later. The configuration remains stored on the HMI even with no power supplied.

Wherever vehicle bodies or attachments need to be moved and con- trolled automatically, safety and reliability are of the utmost importance. As of now, EAO offers you a functionally safe PREMIUM Version from the Series 09 Rugged Keypads, an intelligent solution for demanding control tasks. The PREMIUM version of the Series 09 Rugged Keypads meet the highest safety requirements and are developed according to DIN EN ISO13849. They achieve Performance Level D (PLd), which is confirmed and certified by DEKRA Testing and Certification GmbH. The PREMIUM keypads are specially designed for safety-critical applications and offer optimum safety and reliability. Redundancy in communication increases the reliability of the entire system. In addition to easy integration, the CANopen Safety protocol offers the same advantages as CANopen: flexibility, real-time capability and scalability. The increased stability of the system has a direct positive effect on your operating costs. In addition, as a customer, you also benefit from reduced development and certification costs when functionally safe components are integrated – for a faster time to market.
