Products & services

Flexible, inorganic, reliable cabling solutions
eddylab offers cabling solutions that can be qualified for use inside containment (K1 areas). Cable lengths and connector configurations can be customized according to specific customer requirements. Both the connector housings and the double-walled protective conduit are made of stainless steel. Thanks to eddylab’s patented connector design, hermetic sealing is ensured — without the use of metallic o-rings or organic sealing materials, providing exceptional serviceability, minimal maintenance and long-term reliability. The well-thought-out design of the double-walled protective conduit ensures not on hermetic sealing but also prevents kinking or damage, maintaining the functionality of the cable system even under demanding conditions. Preassembled and fully wired connection cables are available. Cable ends can be equipped with connectors or open leads.

Conncector system - hermetic sealed
eddylab offers connectors that are suitable for high temperature or high radiation environments due to inorganic construction. They are available in different sizes and various number of poles. The patented connection for “inside containment use” (K1) provides maximum safety through hermetic sealing without any use of additional sealing materials, reduces installation effort to a minimum, and increases service life. The ball-cone connection between the plug and mating connector enables hermetic sealing without an additional sealing element and forms a detachable plug connection. The pin insert is hermetically sealed by welded connections. The signal-carrying pin contacts are installed in the connecting element with a ceramic insulator. The connection is hermetically sealed in both plugged and unplugged states.

Signal converter for LVDT sensors from eddylab - DEEneo
Precise. Digital. Flexible – DEEneo signal converter for LVDT sensors from eddylab The new DEEneo and DEEneo-ISC electronics with digital signal processing are the ideal solution for measurement tasks that require maximum precision and noise immunity. Whether as an inline signal conditioner (cable electronics) or for DIN rail mounting - DEEneo ensures reliable processing of the sensor signal into a standardized, analogue output signal and supports all commercially available LVDT sensors. With the help of the integrated microcontroller, the linearity deviation of the connected displacement transducer can also be almost completely eliminated. Convenient configuration – quick and easy adaptation to the application A push button (SET button) enables the basic configuration and simple setting of the measuring range limits. This allows the measuring chain to be quickly and efficiently adapted to specific requirements. The eddySetup configuration software also makes it easy to set additional parameters and activate functions such as switching outputs.

Inductive sensors (LVDT), SM series
LVDTs (Linear Variable Differential Transformers) are inductive sensors excellent for use in harsh industrial environments, e.g. high temperature and pressure ranges, as well as high accelerations and measuring cycles. The SM series offers ultimate reliability and precision in a small size, and is designed for industrial and lab use. With a measuring range from 2 up to 200 mm and various configuration options (mechanics, protection class, temperature range, linearity) the SM series ensures to have a suitable measuring system for every application.

Sensors
eddylab GmbH is a modern company, which has been passionately developed, engineered and produced sensors for the measurement of distances and positions, for 20 years. We even provide entire system solutions. The company is based in Otterfing, in the south of Munich. The development, production and sales of the sensors are carried out from here. In addition, we are able to provide our customers a worldwide network of distributors. Our experts have extensive application experience and offer competent, technical support to find the perfect solution for every measurement task. Our focus is on eddy current sensors and inductive sensors, called LVDT. eddylab is also the official distributor of Magnescale products (formerly Sony Precision Technology), which stand for high-precision, high-resolution and robust sensors. Laser distance sensors complete the range and are used when a non-contact, optical measuring method is required.

Inductive sensor LVDT, SL series, ultra-robust construction, features a complete stainless steel housing
LVDT's (Linear Variable Differential Transformer) are inductive sensors that are ideally suited for use in harsh industrial environments such as high temperature and pressure ranges as well as for high accelerations and high measuring cycles. The SL series offers an extremely robust design and can be used in harsh industrial environments. Sensor applications under water are also possible due to the stainless steel housing and the high IP protection class. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

Eddycurrrent sensors, TX-series
High-quality eddy current probes: Beside robustness, high dynamics and high resolution the TX-Series also stands out with a wide temperature range from -60 °C up to 180 °C. Eddy current probes are particularly suitable devices for non-contact measurements on metallic targets. Typical applications are measurements on rotating shafts for the detection of imbalance, vibration, out-of-roundness, air gap, radial/axial run-out, and much more besides. The extremely high resolution up to a level of 50nm enables the smallest of amplitudes to be detected. eddylab probes are designed for temperatures up to 185 °C, and are optimised for the entire temperature range with regard to temperature drift. ■ High precision measurement ■ High resolution (submicrometer) ■ High dynamics (124 kSa/s) ■Minimal temperature coefficient ■ High noise immunity ■ Custom-made probes

Inductive sensor LVDT, SXL series: inorganic, ultra-robust, temperature-/radiation resistance
LVDT displacement transducers from eddylab GmbH are inductive full bridges that work wear-free and have a theoretically unlimited mechanical service life. The differential measuring principle of our LVDTs ensures minimum temperature and EMC effects on the measurement results. The LVDTs are characterized by their exceptional ruggedness and reliability under harsh conditions, despite their high resolution and repeatability. The sensors cover measuring ranges from 10 to 400 mm. Most common nuclear applications are steam pipe monitoring of the primary and secondary circuit, structural health monitoring SHM, measuring positions of actuators, valves, hydraulic cylinders, shock absorbers of steam generators and pumps as well as position and diameter of nuclear fuel rods. Sensor series SXL combines radiation-resistance and robust design Our nuclear-grade sensors combine exceptional durability with innovative design. Their fully inorganic construction ensures excellent radiation resistance, while the robust design provides high resistance to vibration, shock, and seismic loads. Operation is highly reliably at temperatures up to 400 °C and feature hermetic sealing, including our patented connector system for maximum safety and long-term performance in the most demanding nuclear environments. The differential measuring principle of LVDT sensors allows cable lengths of more than 200 m between sensor and signal conditioner without any loss of precision or reliability. The electronics are installed separately and in a protected area outside the containment e.g., K3 environment.
