Automation, electronics and information technology in the industrial environment are the profession of E.P. Elektro-Projekt in Weingarten. Our customers commission us to develop and build customized products and plants, to commission and support them worldwide.
What we offer, you cannot buy in a store. But very often we contribute to the production of products for daily use. Such products can be found, for example, in our houses, our cars, our food and our clothing.
Engineering and production from one source for worldwide use
- In the field of automation, we plan and build control systems and instrumentation for industrial production and put them into operation worldwide. Most of the time we realize unique products, which are exactly tailored to the products and needs of our customers in the plastics, food and automotive industries. We focus on the (re)tracking of production processes as well as the processing and preparation of production data - always with the aim of making processes transparent, safe and efficient.
- In the field of electronics we develop and manufacture devices and components for our customers for use in industrial environments. Often we are at the limit of what can be achieved with electronics. Heat, cold, vandalism at high packing density are typical challenges for the products we develop and manufacture. To supply our customers reliably and to the point is our claim to ourselves, which begins in the development and continues through production and delivery to the further development of the products.
EP is a family-owned company and our strategy and actions are based on long-term reliability and dependability. Passion, creativity and continuity are our guiding principles. We have been working with many of our customers in partnership for decades. Products & services
Automation
In the Automation business unit, we develop and implement customized control and drive technology systems as well as industrial IT for our customers. The spectrum ranges from classic control systems to complex and high-precision drive solutions to extensive SCADA and MES applications. Our strength lies in combining the right technologies. All our projects are coordinated by an efficient project management team. Many of our customers involve us at an early stage and entrust us with the preparation of detailed specifications and tender documents. We undertake such pre-engineering for new plants, but also very often for retrofits, in which existing machines and plants receive new control and instrumentation technology. With our software know-how, we build the bridge between classic control technology and current IT systems for our customers. The aim is always to provide reliable, powerful and pragmatic solutions that prove themselves for our customers in everyday production and can grow with their requirements. We also focus on the benefits and specifications of our customers in hardware planning and control cabinet construction. All standards given to us are implemented in planning and manufacturing. Assembly management, installation and commissioning on site and all over the world are an important key to the performance of our plants.
Electronics
In the Electronics division, we develop, produce and test electronic components, assemblies and devices for industrial applications and demanding environmental conditions for our customers. We assume full responsibility for purchasing, stocking, production, quality assurance and delivery. Just-in-time and delivery-on-demand are standard practice for us. We manufacture up to medium-sized quantities and often support the products well beyond the end of their series production. It is a matter of course for us that we pay attention to an optimal dovetailing with our customers in our tasks. This applies to our development department as well as to the logistics, manufacturing and quality processes of production. Examples are - Measurement technology for emission monitoring (on-site or maritime) - Measurement technology for automotive testing - Automotive engineering Controls for articulated buses - Industrial electronics from simple to highly complex assembled PCBs, modules and complete devices of all kinds, e.g. operating units, display touch modules, etc.
Switch cabinet construction
Our third main pillar is the construction of control cabinets. No matter if single piece or small to medium series, from material procurement to mechanical processing and assembly. Our well-trained specialists guarantee efficient processing. Many of our customers rely on our expertise in the design, manufacture and documentation of control cabinets according to UL. The UL standard UL508a is the basis for UL approval of controls in the USA and Canada. At E.P. we are registered with UL and can design, manufacture and document your control system according to UL508a. In addition, we are authorized to mark controllers with a UL label already here in Germany if they have been designed and manufactured by us. This offers our customers the advantages: -short distances and significantly lower costs with UL marking in Germany -the cost-intensive individual certification of switchgear is eliminated -UL-compliant planning, manufacturing and documentation also as a proof of competence towards North American customers -significantly simplified procedure for testing in the USA These advantages apply to both individual and series controls. Projectmanager
Your responsibilities: You plan and manage projects in the field of industrial automation. You are responsible for the control technology for new systems and retrofits. You clarify technical, organizational, and commercial questions with our customers, the specialist departments at EP, and your project team. You advise our customers on control technology issues. You are the contact person for plant operators throughout the entire service life of a machine or system. You complete your tasks independently in coordination with your team members.
Coordinator for electrical installations
You will plan electrical installations on the basis of building and installation plans. instruct installation teams in their tasks on site and accompany them during the assignment. You ensure complete documentation including the relevant measurement protocols, are the contact person for your colleagues and our customers during the installation work, carry out your tasks independently in coordination with your team colleagues. You have completed training in the field of electrical engineering and are ideally a master craftsman or industrial technician. have a solid knowledge of electrical installation and are familiar with the materials typically used. know the requirements that are usually placed on electrical installations and their documentation. work in a structured and independent manner in a collegial and committed team. can express themselves confidently in German and English. are prepared to travel internationally if necessary, to the extent of about 30% of your working time.
