Expertise in transmissions and electrical and mechanical drives is the basis for our success – with over 70 years’ experience in these areas. They remain at the core of our strategy to continue a leading enterprise in driving technology.
The foundations of the enterprise's success were laid in the Belgium capital of Brussels. In the late 40s, Eugen Schmidt, the founder of the enterprise, started with power shift transmissions and hydrodynamic torque converters. As a result of strong post war demand, the business activities quickly exceeded the national borders. Germany, in particular, developed into a very important market and in 1957 an autonomous esco company was founded in Cologne. Due to the dynamic growth, esco established in 1974 its base in Troisdorf, located between the densely populated areas Rhine-Main and Rhine-Ruhr, favourably situated relative to transport facilities, close to the Cologne-Bonn airport and directly at the Autobahn A 59 on an ideal 10,000 m² site. Pure trading was primary interest at the beginning.
However, soon esco became a distributor-engineering enterprise. As the links between manufacturer and user developed, esco provided innovative and economic driving solutions in response to the diversification of the requirements. Combinations of tried-and-tested technologies from leading manufactures together with our own engineering know-how are the basis for our optimal solutions.

INVT frequency inverter series GD350A
Efficient - multifunctional - expandable esco presents the new frequency inverter series GD350A from INVT. The GD350A is a dual-rated, high performance frequency inverter series in the power range from 1.5 kW to 500 kW. The GD350A series integrates speed, torque and positioning control and includes features for IoT functionality. The inverter has a dual-channel STO function (SIL2) and a multi-line, multi-language LCD control panel. With a variety of option cards the series is easily expandable. The GD350A is widely used throughout mechanical and plant engineering, building automation, environmental engineering and water/wastewater applications. The GD350A series of frequency inverters takes advantage of fast response speeds of the latest processor technology to solve your drive task. As a result, it optimizes your application's availability (IoT functionality), performance (precise torque control, perfect speed accuracy, extensive positioning functions) and ease of use (WiFi, EtherNet communication, Bluetooth optional). In addition, the GD350A supports your task with an optional, freely programmable PLC functionality. The GD350A series combines versatile capabilities in one device to operate different types of motors and meet different requirements.
Weintek cMT-X series
With the Weintek HMIs of the cMT-X series, Esco provides powerful and cost-effective solutions for all technical HMI applications. The models of the cMT-X series (Advanced) are available in display sizes from 7" to 15" with a high-resolution touch display with a capacitive glass front or with an analog resistive display. They are equipped with powerful quad-core processors and support web browser functionality, database access, or use as an OPC UA server. In addition, Weintek offers the models of the cMT-X series (Standard) with analog resistive displays from 4.3" to 15". Those looking for powerful solutions for standard HMI applications are in good hands with these models of the cMT-X series. Weintek also offers the basic model cMT1106X as a cost-effective entry-level model with a display size of 10". For an HMI solution with touch displays or monitors larger than 15", Weintek offers the cMT-FHDX-820 gateway. This model can be programmed like a conventional HMI, but offers the option of connecting monitors up to 55" via HDMI/USB cable.
INVT I/O Flex Systems
The INVT Flex Series I/O system is a flexible, reliable, and distributed I/O system. The system can access multiple standard communication networks and offers a wide range of different signal modules, allowing for an optimal solution for a wide variety of technical requirements. Its slim design also saves significant space in the control cabinet. The Flex Series open I/O system has a modular design, supports various bus networks, and is equipped with a wide range of I/O signal modules to ensure customized solutions. By importing the device description file into a third-party host controller, module configuration can be performed without the need for special software configuration.
