Lika Electronic stands for encoders and position measuring systems. Since its inception in 1982, Lika Electronic develops and manufactures incremental and absolute, optical and magnetic, rotary and linear encoders, incremental & absolute sensors, linear and rotary incremental & absolute magnetic measurement systems, rotary actuators, displays, signal converters and encoder interfaces.

AKS16 magnetic modular encoder for rotary and linear applications
The AKS16 magnetic modular encoder is capable of exceptional performance and versatility: it can offer both absolute and incremental interfaces in the same package, perfectly fit rotary and linear applications, and be even installed in a parallel or perpendicular orientation to suit the most diverse mounting needs. • Absolute + additional incremental interfaces available • Ultra-compact size to fit constricted spaces • Single-turn absolute resolution up to 20 bits, multi-turn up to 28 bits / 156 nm linear • Incremental resolution up to 18 bits • SSI and BiSS absolute interfaces + AB0 or UVW or STEP optional signals • Exceptional mounting versatility

Draw-Wire Encoders for Unusual Measuring Requirements
Lika Electronic offers a complete range of draw-wire encoders. They can be optical or magnetic, with incremental, absolute, or analogue outputs (a potentiometer can also be integrated) and a choice of measuring lengths from 300 mm (0.984 ft) up to 50 m (164 ft). They are a good solution for unconventional measuring requirements, for instance, for indirect measuring paths, or when the operational space is constricted, or the environmental conditions are severe. • Measuring lengths can be 300 mm (0.984 ft), 1 m (3.28 ft), 1.5 m (4.92 ft), 2 m (6.56 ft), 5 m (16.4 ft), 10 m (32.8 ft), and longer, up to 50 m (164 ft) • Any type of encoder can be integrated: incremental, absolute, fieldbus, Ethernet, analogue (including potentiometer), ATEX, special models for individual applications • Resolution down to 0.01 mm / 10 µm • Speed up to 10 m per second / 32.8 ft per second

SMA21 absolute linear encoder
The SMA21 is intended for use in the longest linear applications up to over 32 m. For shorter measuring lengths up to over 8 m, the SMA2 is the perfect option. They are ideally suited for position and speed feedback applications in electro-medical and laboratory equipment such as scanners (computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, digital mammography equipment, ...), Gamma Knife machines, hospital beds. They are paired with the double track magnetic tape, so they are able to deliver both the absolute information for position feedback through the BiSS and SSI interfaces and the incremental information for speed feedback. They provide high resolution down to 1 µm and high accuracy. The fully encapsulated electronics (IP67 protection rate) is optimally protected against dust, oil, grease, water, shocks, and vibrations for safe, reliable, and long-term operation.

Modular Encoders for Precise Motor Control
Lika Electronic's modular encoders are compact, flat, and lightweight and excel in high resolution and fine accuracy. The AMM33 miniature encoder is equipped with a 6 mm blind hollow shaft and is ideally suited for integration into very small size motors. The SMAR1 off-axis encoder fits perfectly into hollow shaft motors and axes with larger diameter up to 18 mm. The AMM33 is absolute and multiturn and integrates the Energy Harvesting Technology for battery- and gear-less operation. It can be equipped with SSI and BiSS interfaces. The singleturn resolution is up to 18 bits, the number of turns is up to 24 bits. The SMAR1 has both incremental and absolute outputs (Line Driver, SSI, BiSS, and SPI). Incremental version offers a resolution up to 65,536 PPR and additional UVW commutation signals. The absolute version has a resolution between 16 and 35 bits and additional TTL signals for speed control. For your convenience their mechanical and electrical characteristics can be customized to meet specific requirements.

EXO58 & EXM58 Ethernet encoders with Energy Harvesting Technology
The EXO58 and EXM58 are the new series of absolute rotary encoders with Ethernet interfaces from Lika Electronic. EXO series encoders are equipped with high accuracy optical sensing technology while EXM series encoders mount a robust magnetic sensing circuit. They are designed in a complete selection of mechanical versions: solid shaft versions with 6, 8, 9.52, 10, and 12 mm (0.24”, 0.31”, 3/8”, 0.39”, 0.47”) diameter and servo or clamp flange mounting; and blind hollow shaft versions with 14 and 15 mm (0.55”, 0.59”) diameter. The industrial 58 mm (2.283") flange enclosure enables IP65 protection. The range of the working temperature is comprised between -25°C and +85°C (-13°F to +185°F) to cover most industrial applications. Compared to previous series, the new encoders are lighter and more compact also thanks to the integration of the Energy Harvesting Technology circuit. It enables the multiturn counter to be battery-free and gearless and the risk of mechanical failures to be significantly reduced at the same time. EXO58 & EXM58 series encoders can be equipped with the most popular Ethernet interfaces available on the industrial market: Profinet, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, POWERLINK, Modbus TCP, and also CC-Link. They can offer: • user-friendly Integrated Web Server for easy and quick configuration and diagnostics; • firmware upgrade capability; • comprehensive diagnostic functions both via five duo LEDs and via software; • IP addressing via hardware switches and via software (including DHCP server); • flexible network architecture compatible with commercially available Ethernet installation options Singleturn versions provide resolutions up to 18 bits while multiturn versions provide resolutions up to 30 bits. They have axial connector outlet. Also the Universal power supply circuit is very useful, it enables an input voltage of +5Vdc +30Vdc.
