120W DIN Rail AC/DC is Smallest on the Market
RECOM achieves 500W/liter DIN rail PSU power density. When space and cost are at a premium, the RECOM RACPRO1-S120 DIN rail PSU is the solution. Offering 120W output power from -40°C to +60°C ambient in convection-only cooling, the part is just 100mm high, 112mm deep, and 28mm wide, achieving 500W/liter power density and an efficiency of up to 93.3%. As a bonus, up to 144W is available to 45°C, with a further power boost to 150% for five seconds for surge loads. Adjustable output voltages are available at 12V, 24V, or 48VDC, each with an extended return voltage capability of more than 35V at 24V and 63V at 48V, for immunity to back-feed from inductive and motor loads. A DC-OK signal is also provided. Input is universal single-phase AC, or 88 to 370VDC with active inrush limiting. The RACPRO1-S120 series is certified to global safety standards IEC/EN/UL 61010-1, and IEC/EN/UL/CSA 61010-2-201. Radiated and conducted emissions are compliant with EN 61000-6-4 Class B, and the parts meet EN 61000-6-2 immunity standard. No-load power consumption is 0.3W maximum. Installation is simple with tool-less mounting and 25° push-in connectors. Reliability is excellent and lifetime expectancy is 111,000 hours at 40°C. DIN Rail Redundancy Module Delivers up to 40A in Slim Package
Design features low loss gating of AC/DC outputs for redundant or parallel operation. RECOM’s RACPRO1-RD40, a new cost-effective DIN rail redundancy module, comprises a pair of MOSFETs and their control, configured as high-efficiency gating diodes. This allows RECOM DIN rail AC/DCs to be connected in an n+1 redundant or parallel arrangement for critical applications where power must be maintained, even if an AC/DC goes off-line. In redundancy mode, each module can be used with a load of up to 20A, fed from two AC/DCs, rated at 20A each. In ‘parallel’ mode, the module can supply an output of up to 40A (60A/5s) over an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +70°C with only convection cooling. RD40 modules themselves can be paralleled for even higher currents. Maximum voltage drop for the module is just 140mV, representing an efficiency of up to 99.5% and 5W typical loss. The module is designed for nominal inputs between 12V and 48VDC with a range of 9V to 56VDC and has a reverse output voltage immunity of 63VDC (70VDC peak). The part is certified to IEC/EN/UL/CSA 62368-1 for safety and meets EN 61000-6-4 Class B emissions and EN 61000-6-2 immunity standards. No-load consumption is less than 200mW. Wide operating temperature, high reliability and a long lifetime of better than 268,000h at 40°C make the RACPRO1-RD40 suitable for harsh industrial environments. AC/DC DIN Rail Power Supplies and Accessories The RACPRO1 series of industrial DIN rail AC/DC power supplies is compact, efficient, and includes single-phase input versions rated up to 480W and three-phase versions rated up to 960W. Additionally, the REDIIN series offers single-phase universal AC inputs and outputs rated up to 480W for cost-sensitive applications, without compromising performance in demanding industrial environments. The new REFIN series is super-slim and offered in the ‘step-shape’ format with up to 90W continuous rating. To complement these products, four-channel resettable e-Fuses are available in the DIN rail format rated up to 10A, as well as redundancy diode modules.
Ultra-slim DIN Rail AC/DC Delivers 90W
RECOM ‘step-shape’ DIN rail PSU packs performance and features into miniature casing. RECOM’s new, cost effective REFIN2U-S90/24/CL DIN rail AC/DC boasts a 90W rating with a boost capability of 150% for 4.5s to allow for surge loads. Input voltage range is 85-276VAC, rated overvoltage category II (OVC II) up to 5000m altitude, while the output is nominal 24VDC, adjustable to 29VDC. The output has a constant current characteristic in overload and is rated LPS, NEC class 2 according to UL1310. The parts operate from -40°C to +70°C ambient, and a creditable 93.6% efficiency achieved contributes to cool running and long MTBF/lifetime ratings. The REFIN2U-S90/24/CL is presented in the popular ‘step-shape’ DIN rail format and is just 36mm in width, weighing in at only 151g. Extending mounting flanges allow the part to be panel-mounted if wished, and particular attention has been paid to eliminating acoustical noise – an important consideration in office or domestic installations. DIN rail mounting for the part is snap-on, and electrical connections are push-in for easy, tool-less installation.
