Robotic Guidance

The Flexi Compact safety controller is based on a future-proof technology platform and can be programmed via software. Thanks to its modularity, it can be optimally configured for a wide range of application requirements and its compact construction means it can be installed in tight spaces. Flexi Compact is characterized by its high usability: planning and commissioning is fast and easy using the intuitive Safety Designer configuration software and a user-friendly housing. Diagnostics data is available for common fieldbus systems. Flexi Soft - The software-programmable safety controller
The Flexi Soft safety controller can be programmed via software. Thanks to the modular hardware platform, Flexi Soft provides a tailored and efficient solution for a whole host of safety applications. A wide range of modules are available: main modules, gateways, digital and analog input/output modules, Motion Control modules, as well as relay modules. The license-free Flexi Soft Designer configuration software enables intuitive programming, rapid commissioning, and continuous diagnostics down to the automation level. Functions to enable safe controller networking, safe series connection, or safe drive monitoring reduce costs and boost productivity. A whole host of additional functions means that Flexi Soft is able to bridge the gap to system solutions from SICK. flexLock - RFID-monitored safety locking device with 180° actuation radius
The flexLock safety locking device with RFID monitoring is characterized by an infinitely variable actuation radius of 180°. It thus offers a high level of flexibility for the safety locking function of doors and flaps – even with small door radii. The clearly visible LEDs show the device status continuously at all viewing angles. The open locking head and the rounded housing of the flexLock allow for easy cleaning. In addition, the high offset tolerance ensures easy mounting and high system availability, even when the door is lowered. Variants for personal or process protection are well suited for use in a wide range of applications up to PL e. The optional escape release allows the locking device to be unlocked from the hazardous area. deTec - safety light curtains
The intelligent deTec safety light curtains are ideal for the protection of hazardous areas, entrances, and hazardous points. Modern technologies such as NFC and IO-Link with their diverse functionality increase the level of automation and thereby productivity. The result: Simple on-site diagnostics, fast commissioning, and comprehensive data for automating downstream processes. Furthermore, the flexible connection concept in combination with the uniform housing design ensures low cabling, installation and configuration costs. PLB - Flexible part localization for bin picking and depalletizing
The PLB robot guidance system is designed for precise localization of parts stored in boxes or on pallets. The system is very flexible with a selection of 3D cameras to choose from. In combination with multiple localization algorithms, this ensures reliable operation in a large range of applications from small-part handling and depalletizing through to handling of large foundry parts. PLB supports easy configuration through a user interface tailored for part localization. It also includes functions to support simple integration with the robot controller, making it straightforward to integrate the system in production. Both the software and the pre-calibrated cameras are designed to be used right out of the box, so the system can be ready within minutes. PALLOC - Flexible automation of depalletizing with 3D color vision based on deep learning
The PALLOC robot guidance system makes it easy to locate boxes of various sizes and appearances with high accuracy. The 3D color camera delivers up to 30 full-frame images per second with sub-millimeter resolution. These 3D and color images ensure that the individual boxes and layers can be detected and measured in an accurate and reproducible way. The camera has a pre-installed and pre-trained deep learning neural network localization algorithm that allows it to locate virtually unlimited variations of boxes. PALLOC reports the position coordinates of the boxes to the robot, allowing it to pick them one-by-one or several at the time, in a configurable picking order.

PLOC2D - Easy to use and flexible part localization sensor system
The PLOC2D is a vision sensor system for localization of parts in 2D. The system is equipped with a high-quality imager combined with high-performance localization algorithm for reliable and fast part localization. The sensor system is self-contained in the IP65 housing and connects directly to the robot controller or PLC and is out of the box ready to use. The user interface is designed and tailored for easy setup and maintenance in the production line. End-of-Arm-Safeguard - Collision protection around the gripper for safe human-robot collaboration
End-of-Arm-Safeguard is an innovative safety system for collaborative robot applications. The system creates a protective field around the robot tool, reduces the risk of crushing injuries, and makes it possible to work safely in the immediate vicinity of the robot. Thanks to contactless technology, the robot stops before a collision occurs. This increases the confidence of operators and increases productivity. With its small protective field, End-of-Arm-Safeguard offers a protection solution exactly where it is needed, thereby creating more space for humans and machines. The system is designed for the e-Series from Universal Robots. It is installed directly on the robot flange. Configuration is carried out via the UR Teach Pendant. Thanks to the reliable safeHDDM® scanning technology, it delivers high-precision measurement data and is extremely resistant to light, dust or dirt. The easy operation of the Safety Designer configuration software and the clever integration options of the nanoScan3 ensure flexibility in applications and also save time. safeRS/safeRS3 - Safe radar systems for hazardous area protection in harsh environments
The safeRS and safeRS3 safe radar systems are electro-sensitive 3D protective devices for safe personal detection with very high machine productivity. They protect applications in accordance with PL d or SIL 2 in line with ISO 13849-1 and IEC 62061. A radar system consists of an evaluation unit and up to 6 sensors which enable switchover to a protected mode as soon as a person enters the protected area. The high resistance to dirt, dust clouds, wood chips, plastic particles and sparks as well as the insensitivity to ambient light such as solar radiation or infrared waves enables reliable operation, even under the toughest ambient conditions. The deTem multiple light beam safety devices offer high flexibility and efficiency for access protection as well as for entry and exit monitoring with muting. The deTem features a compact housing and stands out not only due to its smart functions, but also thanks to its innovative diagnostic options. These ensure high machine availability and enable process optimization. Housing design and connectivity are standardized and therefore reduce installation work.
