When industrial processes run smoothly and reliably, there are chances that this is partly due to measurement and control solutions from TR-Electronic. When a theater curtain goes up, for example, systems of TR monitor the complex stage technology. People and machines work safely together and the audience enjoys a perfect production. Wind energy plants generate energy with maximum efficiency thanks to optimally aligned rotor blades - controlled by TR solutions. In press lines for the automotive industry, TR sensors guarantee safe forming of the body components. In logistics, TR measuring systems enable smooth transport of goods, e.g. in conveying systems and high racks. TR control and measuring modules control and monitor pumps for drinking water supply, regulate correct feeding of pellets in wood-fueled installations or help to detect faults in a punching machine at an early stage.

Absolute multi-turn encoder with IO-Link interface

If a machine or plant has already integrated IO-Link as a bus system, it makes sense to also control absolute encoders with this bus system. The actual value communication is compatible with normal digital initiator communication between the encoder and the next distribution node in star distribution. This can collect a lot of information and usually connects via powerful Industrial Ethernet to the higher-level controller. Position and speed are provided for the process. With operating hours counter and device status, the absolute encoder also provides data for preventive machine maintenance. C__582 with IO-Link provides the option of converting internal states into programmable switching states of the digital output.

Linear absolute position measuring systems for standard industrial applications

The new series LM_S 34 is a sensor rod for direct installation in hydraulic cylinders. Measuring lengths of up to 3 m are supplied with the common direct linear sensor interfaces SSI, Analogue, and CAN. LMRS 34 achieves a resolution of 0.01 mm. The head’s width across flats is 34 mm, hence the size designation “34”. This is noticeably smaller than the 48 mm or 46 mm of the other families and is undercut only by the ultra compact LMRB 27. However, it requires an external converter box for all interfaces except Analogue. LMRS 34 offers a very compact sensor solution in the middle range that can be equipped with the most important interfaces. LMRS 34 works completely wear-free as does every magnetostriction measuring system from TR-Electronic. The stainless steel casing is pressure tested.

The consistent use of flash memory makes the notion.remote-client series devices particularly robust against vibrations caused by completely soldered components. This is true for the entire “notion” control and display series. CPUs are selected for the intended application and its performance demands. The discreet and modern design blends in harmoniously with the respective application environment, be it serial machines or retrofit in combination with existing solutions. notion.remote-client lets you choose from 7 to 21.5 inch displays – and thus represent simple user interfaces as well as complex system visualizations. The notion.remote-client can be mounted either in front panels and console surfaces or on a commercially available support arm system.

Decentralized positioning drives with EtherCAT

The positioning drives in the MA series are ideally suited as auxiliary drives for adjusting formats, guide rails and stops for use in folding machines, thermoforming machines and component mixing systems. The DC motors with integrated, multi-turn, absolute rotary encoder, control module and bus interface, position accurately to within 1..2° (depending on the gearbox configuration) and provides up to 100 W in continuous operation. The moment of inertia of the drives is high in comparison to EC motors, which has a positive effect on controller quality during the movement of large masses. Even heavy stops and guide rails can be safely positioned. The DC motors are designed for occasional movement and are therefore optimal for the automation of settings that would normally be made manually.

Absolute rotary encoders Analog Interface

Absolute encoder from TR-Electronic with freely configurable analog interface Even in the age of Industrial Ethernet, IO-Link and Industry 4.0, analog signal transmission is still widespread and is used in new systems. It is a very cheap alternative on the control side if the desired resolution is suitable for analog transmission. Even the simplest controllers have analog interfaces that can be used for simple position or speed feedback. And - implemented as a current interface - larger transmission lengths can also be implemented easily. The analog interface from TR-Electronic in the latest encoder series is a true all-rounder. The multiturn position signal can be used as the basic variable for the 16-bit D / A converter. The speed signal can be used as well. When the position value is selected, the start and end point of the converted range can be freely set within the entire multiturn measuring range. You can also configure whether the analog signal is output as voltage (0..10V, -10..10V) or current (0..20mA, 4..20mA). As a current interface with "live zero", the analog interface provides a very effective method of implementing secure transmission. Live zero interface reliably monitors both the function of the encoder and wire break quite simple without protocols and software and on just two wires. Thanks to the modular concept of the latest generation of encoders from TR-Electronic, the analog interface is available for all detection systems. Magnetic detection offers sufficient resolution even for positioning over several revolutions, high-resolution, optical detections provide enough position resolutions to control the analog signal even with the smallest movement ranges. All mechanical variants are available with the new analog interface: size 58 with solid shaft, blind hole and hollow shaft up to 15 mm, in size 80 with continuous hollow shaft up to 27 mm, in size 110 with continuous hollow shaft up to 50 mm.
