Treo - Labor für Umweltsimulation GmbH
About us
WE GET YOUR PRODUCTS FIT FOR THE FUTURE – As an accredited testing laboratory we test your products, devices and components for quality, reliability and safety. Our expert test engineers help you make your products even better and safer.
Many products, devices and components are exposed to high and extraordinary loads in day-to-day operation. Environmental influences such as heat and cold, moisture, vibration, electrical voltages and electromagnetic radiation can affect the function and service life of the components that are particularly exposed to stress. To ensure that the components work perfectly in daily operation despite all external influences, we put them through their paces in our testing laboratories. The range of our services extends from test specifications to testing programmes that accompany development and accredited approval testing. Our four main fields of testing are environmental simulation, material testing, electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
Working in close coordination with the client, we test the products to determine where the weak points are, and where improvements are possible or necessary. Our experienced engineers develop customised testing programmes and propose innovative solutions. Treo supports product developers and manufacturers from the early stages of their development right through to the final product – so that you can be sure that all your components and devices comply with standards and meet all the necessary requirements.
Treo – the Laboratory for Environmental Simulation has particular expertise in the fields of shipbuilding, aerospace, vehicle construction, railways, military and renewable energies. We also test e-bike drives for reliability and electrical safety. Regardless of the product and the sector: we make your product better and future proof it!
Products & services

Environmental simulation
From planes to trains or e-bikes: parts and components used in products have to withstand tough stresses in continuous daily use. These stresses can range from factors such as humidity or temperature fluctuations to external stresses such as pressure or vibration. We simulate these environmental influences in our laboratory and check whether the products and materials are capable of withstanding them and will continue to function correctly for the duration of their service life. Treo testing services: • Temperature and climate • Thermal shock • Vibration • Mechanical shock • Low pressure or overpressure • Static acceleration • Inclination • Acoustics • Special tests

Material testing
The materials used in components or devices are potentially exposed to a wide range of stresses. Corrosion, fire, water, heat, cold are only a few factors that can in the worst case weaken the properties of the material and thus impair the device’s ability to function safely. We test the behaviour of materials under normal and extreme loads. We test metals, plastics, coating systems and much more for our customers in a wide range of industries. Treo testing services: • Fire retardant testing • Corrosion • Weathering tests • Chemical resistance • Tension and compression

Electrical safety
Devices that work with electric current always pose a potential risk, making protection against short circuits, electric shock or heating all the more important. To ensure safe operation, strict international guidelines and standards apply to all kinds of electrical devices. With our test programmes in three categories – S, M and L – our test engineers offer the ideal solution for every requirement profile in the field of technical safety. Treo testing services: • High-voltage testing • Insulation resistance testing • Leakage current and protective conductor current • Product standards

Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
Electromagnetic fields occur wherever electric devices and equipment are used. This radiation has an impact on the surroundings of the equipment and, vice versa, the surroundings have an effect on the equipment. Unwanted electromagnetic interaction can lead to functional impairments or even damage to the device. In our EMC laboratory, in addition to a range of basic standards, we also offer specialist basic standards and product standards from all industries and sectors. Treo testing services: • Conducted emission • Conducted susceptibility • Radiated emission • Radiated susceptibility • Compass safe distance • ESD • EMF

SPRINT – we put your product development on the fast track
A product is just about ready for the market, but the final tests reveal a bug – one that could have been fixed at the beginning of the development. This is a frustrating turn of events and may cause delays to the product launch. Treo has a super-fast solution: our sprint test! Our test engineers have developed test programmes that accompany development and minimise the critical elements of extensive testing to a fraction of the usual time. Our services offer you: • quick results in a short time • cost savings through early elimination of weak points • higher chance of passing approval tests the first time • quick market entry and optimal utilization of the product life cycle • a strong, experienced partner at your side Our sprint test offers many benefits. You profit from our expertise, avoid mistakes early in the development process and can improve your product. If required, we will continue to support you in the development process as a partner – from the very first test right until your product is ready for the market. Our promise to you: our sprint test will save you time, money and avoid frustration!
