About us
WI Automatisierungstechnik GmbH is an independent engineering and systems house specializing in industrial automation. We develop, implement, and integrate customized automation and control solutions for manufacturing companies – focused, practical, and technically sound. Our core competencies lie in PLC technology, software development, robotics, and electrical design. From individual automation stations and interconnected production modules to complete systems, we support projects through all phases – from concept and engineering to commissioning and handover. As a young team, we founded our mechanical engineering division in 2018 and expanded it in 2024 to include electrical design and control engineering. This allows us to combine cutting-edge technologies with in-depth industry experience. We work in a structured, standards-compliant manner, with a clear focus on maintainability, expandability, and long-term system availability. We rely on modular architectures, transparent software structures, and close collaboration with our clients. Image processing for automation
Measurement and testing technology with reliable traceability has become increasingly important. We have responded to these increased demands by establishing our in-house image processing laboratory. Here, we can conduct application trials tailored to your specific requirements. The advantage is that these trials take place under real-world conditions and can be directly processed by PLCs for testing purposes, for example, for data storage in edge technology. We can handle everything from simple barcodes to complex machine vision tasks.

The MoveR - the most flexible robot cell
The WIP moveR is the versatile base platform for robots in manufacturing. Its modular design and high adaptability enable quick and easy implementation in various production environments. Whether in assembly, material handling, or quality control – the WIP moveR can be trained and calibrated for a new task in a very short time. A powerful manipulator forms the versatile foundation of the moveR! The moveR is completely independent of the manipulator used; the platform accommodates whatever your project requires. Whether it's an industrial articulated robot, a collaborative lightweight robot, or an axis system, the moveR accepts any system on its modular mounting platform. Optional camera systems enable rapid robot orientation or support picking tasks. Scanning barcodes, recognizing colors and shapes, or identifying damage – all of this is easily accomplished. Landmarks allow a robot to identify which machine it is at and how to navigate around it.

Control engineering & software development
Fully automated systems need a conductor, the controller. We develop your control logic as a PLC or from scratch in a high-level language. We can adopt your existing standards or offer guidance through the complex landscape of available solutions to help you find the right one. We utilize the most common PLC base units and their extensions. The selection is tailored to the application, ensuring interchangeability and long product lifecycles.

Control cabinet construction
Electrical Planning + We handle the design and layout of the electrical systems for your industrial plant. + We systematically select equipment exclusively from reputable suppliers with proven quality. + We create circuit diagrams and 2D control cabinet layouts using Eplan software. + Depending on the scope, we provide documentation on short-circuit withstand capability, simultaneity factors, and thermal behavior within the cabinets. Control Cabinet Construction + In our in-house control cabinet construction facility, we mount all components from the mounting plate and wire them according to standards. + We mount components that are not typically positioned in control cabinets but are susceptible to damage from harsh industrial environments using our own custom-designed solutions. + Mechanical modifications to the enclosure are made using waterjet or laser cutting. Simple cutouts are produced in our own workshop.
