Linear technology from PMI
PMI was founded in 1990 and has been manufacturing key components for precision machines such as linear guides, ball screws and actuators ever since.
The MSA series raceways are designed with a contact angle of 45°. This means that loads can be picked up evenly from all directions. The preload is also distributed evenly, resulting in constant stiffness in all 4 main load directions. The X-preload of the linear guide completes the design, which reduces the moment stiffness of the individual carriage, but plays a minor role when viewed in the system.
The resulting advantage is that carriages with X preload have significantly better self-alignment. Assembly inaccuracies can therefore be better compensated for and higher tolerances can be permitted for the surrounding components.
Application areas:
This linear guide is used in production machines, feeding, adjusting and traversing devices, the packaging industry, robot applications and measuring machines.
