Enlarge your workspace easily and simply
The 7th axis serves to expand the workspace easily and flexibly, thereby increasing the effective reach of the robot. It combines the advantages of linear axes – scalable workspace – and the robot arm or cobot – increased degrees of freedom in component orientation. Integration into existing systems and production lines can be easily achieved using adapter kits. In addition, the kinematics can be expanded with rotary tables or additional axes, enabling further degrees of freedom and increasing flexibility in production and manufacturing. The linear axes and rotary tables can be universally adapted to the desired robot types. The special toothed belt drive module 160/15 UR is available for robots from Universal Robots. This is designed for direct mechanical mounting of the UR3-UR16e robot models. The module 80/15 PA is used for the UR20 and UR30 robot models.

aiPRESS servo presses
aiPRESS servo presses are used to produce safe and reproduceable joinings. They offer optimal possibilities in customising the joining process to your needs. Process factors such as feed force, running speed, positioning time and accuracy can be adapted precisely by using a large number of optional components. aiPRESS servo presses are serially equipped with monitor, keyboard with mouse as well as compact control cabinet with pluggable cable set. Optionally, the system can be amended with a high-quality multitouch user panel inclusive holder. A concept that has been well proven: More than 800 IEF servo presses work reliably around the world - in rough industrial environments.

Transport systems
Modular concept for successful material flow You will easily realise individual production processes with MOVEsystem. IEF-Werner offers herefor a clearly structured modular concept for project planning which is tailored to your requirements. Welded frames form the foundation of the modular construction to ensure stiffness and stability, whilst providing simple and economic assembly. From straight transfer lines between automatic or manual stations to branched transfer systems, everything is possible. Stacked, multi level conveyors also provide for maximising production systems within a minimum floor space.

Linear drives for automation
IEF-Werner offers the complete product range for all imaginable "Pick & Place" applications from simple linear units prepared to attach your own motors to multiple-axis completely installed positioning systems. Spindle drives for maximum loads! The IEF positioning units with spindle drive of profiLINE series were developed to combine the excellent features of a linear axis with the characteristics of a precision slide. These features combine large strokes with high precision at high loads, enabling precise positioning and palletising systems. Positioning systems with spindle drives enable high feed forces and can move heavy loads. They are particularly suitable for high demands on positioning and repeat accuracy. Toothed belt drive for maximum distance! Linear units with toothed belt drive allow an efficient and reasonable solution of your handling task. IEF-Werner offers the complete product range for all conceivable pick & place applications: From the simple linear unit, prepared to attach customer-specific motors, up to completely installed multiple-axis positioning systems. Direct drives for maximum dynamics! The linear drives of the euroLINE series with integrated linear motor, path measuring system and guide are a system ready for installation with low construction effort. Even several independent motors on one guide are possible. Cantilever axis with spindle or toothed belt drive Cantilever axes are specialised linear units for the vertical or horizontal use. Their biggest advantage is the stationary motor. Due to special kinematics the cantilever arm can pull itself back completely from the working area - no disturbing contours remain. The cantilever axes are available with toothed belt or spindle drive.

varioSTACK CF clean room palletiser
For cleanrooms Class 8 according ISO 14644-1 The modular palletiser system can be tailored to every task. Users are able to operate the varioSTACK CF with an integrated IEF product handling or adapt it to an already existing robot or handling system. Moreover, the very compact machine can be loaded with pallet wagons or transport belts by default – the belt-loading version also sideways.

varioSTACK palletising system
varioSTACK, developed by IEF-Werner, is an open and modular palletising system for diverse task formulations. varioSTACK can be adapted to different tray sizes - especially to pallets in the quarter or eighth euro dimension. The system processes loaded pallets with a maximum weight of up to ten kilograms. The repeat accuracy of the pallet table is +/- 0.05 mm. The pallet change takes less than four seconds. The palletising system is very compact; with its footprint of less than one square meter it can be easily integrated into any existing production structure.

Rotary tables (DT, TP & miniTURN)
IEF rotating units of the DT series comprise of stainless steel and aluminium. They are available in many different designs. The rotary tables DT 80/100, DT 100/140 and DT 160/200 are designed for motor-powered operation. They work with a high-quality screw gear, with a reverse play which can be minimised by supply of the screw wheel. The hollow shaft gives the constructor additional space for putting hoses and cables. The rotary table TP 004 is a simply designed turning unit of high-quality gear and with drive motor as a main component. It is equipped with an inductive reference switch by default. It can be delivered with different transmissions. The miniTURN-series is a compact rotating unit with low weight. It was specifically developed for quick and precise positioning of small parts. The unit can be used both alone or in combination with linear units. Typical areas of use of the rotary tables are measuring technology, micro-assembly and the semi-conductor industry.

Manual rotary adjusters with and without hollow shaft
The standard rotary adjuster is equipped with a quick adjustment. For this, loosen the screw that is located at the side of the rotary plate. The rotary unit is essentially made of stainless steel. The adjustment button is made of black anodised aluminium, the worm bearing of sinter bronze. The heavy duty rotary adjusters with hollow shaft are made of stainless steel and aluminum. They work with a high-quality worm gear whose backlash can be minimised through infeed of the worm wheel or worm. The hollow shaft allows the engineer additional flexibility to hide tubes and cables.

Linear drives with metal strip cover
The linear actuators with metal strip cover are an extension of the standard programme and includes toothed belt, spindle and direct drives. The metal strip offers protection against incoming dirt or particles and prevents releasing particles into the environment of the linear unit. A corrosion-resistant steel with a smooth surface is used. An excerpt of the linear drives was developed by the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation (IPA) and certified (DIN EN ISO 14644-1). The exact test conditions and the design can be found in the certifications. By using this metal belt cover, the linear unit is encapsulated as far as possible. Possible applications are, for example: - Clean rooms according to ISO 14644 from class 1 - 8 - GMP cleanrooms for pharmaceuticals & medical technology - Painting lines or dusty ambient conditions - Applications where moving parts have to be covered

Swivel arm modules
Pick & Place - all around! The rotaryARM swivel arm module in combination with linear units is a very fast pick & place system for all tasks that require a fast and precise automation solution. The radius range of the working area is 148, 199 or 268 mm. The module can be used for all assembly, handling, packaging, palletising and other applications that require a fast and precise automation solution. It is optionally available with an additional NC rotary axis for the gripper. In the new generation, the rotaryARM's swivel and rotary axes can be rotated endlessly. This is made possible by a rotary feed-through for electrics and pneumatics integrated in the swivel arm. This also eliminates the need for an additional cable carrier. Other features include high rigidity, low dead weight and motors with absolute encoders. Pick & Place - with highspeed! With the miniSPIN-series a compact handling unit with highly dynamic traits was developed. The concept was designed to position small parts with a weight of 20 up to max. 100 grammes. Typical pick & place operations can be realised with very short cycle times of about half a second. The miniSPIN-series can be used as single station as well as in combination with linear units. In connection with the directly driven linear axis euroLINE, highly dynamical handling systems can be realised, e.g. to handle product pallets. To enable optimum use of the miniSPIN series, standardised lever lengths of 87mm or 151.5mm are available.
