NFO Sinus-Frequenzumrichter – Echte Sinusspannung für anspruchsvolle Antriebsaufgaben Der NFO Sinus-Frequenzumrichter setzt neue Maßstäbe in der elektrischen Antriebstechnik. Im Gegensatz zu konventionellen PWM-Umrichtern erzeugt er am Ausgang eine nahezu ideale Sinusspannung – ohne nachgeschalteten Sinusfilter. Warum Sinus – und nicht PWM? Konventionelle PWM-Umrichter erzeugen durch hochfrequentes Schalten ein rechteckförmiges Ausgangssignal mit hohen Oberschwingungsanteilen. Die Folgen: erhöhte Motorerwärmung (Zusatzverluste bis 20 %), Lagerschäden durch kapazitive Ableitströme, EMV-Probleme sowie störende Geräuschemissionen. Zudem lösen die hochfrequenten Ableitströme Standard-RCDs zuverlässig aus – auch ohne echten Fehlerfall. Der NFO Sinus-Umrichter eliminiert diese Probleme konstruktiv: Ein patentiertes Multilevel-Schaltverfahren erzeugt am Ausgang THD < 5 % – vergleichbar mit Netzspannung direkt vom Trafo. Kapazitive Ableitströme werden so weit reduziert, dass der Betrieb hinter einem handelsüblichen 30-mA-RCD (Typ A) problemlos und ohne Fehlauslösungen möglich ist. What is a Skiving Heatsink? In the skiving process, a fin structure is cut from a solid block of metal – usually aluminum or copper – by means of a precision machining process (skiving). The fins remain firmly attached to the base plate, ensuring outstanding heat transfer – completely free of air gaps as found in pressed-fin heatsinks, and without adhesives or solder joints. Skiving heatsinks can achieve fin ratios that are not possible with the extrusion process.

Slot resistance thermometer
Explosion-proof slot resistance thermometers are used to measure the winding temperature in the stator of generators or electric motors for the approved “intrinsic safety” and “increased safety” types of protection. ExNWT’s can be equipped with platinum thin-film measuring resistors (chip) or also be manufactured as a wound version. The chip variant records the temperature at specific points in a very small area, since the temperature-sensitive length of the thin-film resistor is just a few millimeters. The coiled variant records the average temperature over the entire active length of the sensor. Dimensions depend on the stator and can be adapted to the different slot sizes.

Smart Collector
Predictive Maintenance powered by VAHLE Unplanned system failures often have unpleasant consequences. If the automated conveyor systems in modern production lines come to a standstill, nothing works anymore. The result is often a loss of sales, which can skyrocket to unimaginable heights if troubleshooting is time-consuming and tedious. To solve this problem, VAHLE has developed the Smart Collector. The world's first intelligent current collector uses special sensor technology to record its linear and rotary movements and passes this data on to the Main Unit, where it is evaluated using the Intelligent Dynamic Anomaly Analysis (IDAA) method. In this way, the entire conductor rail system is monitored during operation. For this purpose, the current collector arms of the Smart Collector are equipped with neodymium magnets. By measuring their magnetic fields without contact, the sensors register even the smallest changes in the flow of movement caused by wear of the conductor system. This allows anomalies to be detected at an early stage, maintenance cycles to be optimally scheduled and thus the availability and productivity of the entire plant to be significantly increased. The Smart Collector was specially developed for electric monorail systems (EMS) and automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), but can also be used in other types of plant. To this end, the smart system is compatible with various VAHLE conductor systems as well as data transmission and positioning solutions.
