Smart Pneumatic Indexing Plungers
Ganter is expanding its range of indexing plungers with a technical treat. The newest addition, type GN 817.7, is pneumatically actuated and can be seamlessly integrated into automated processes thanks to state-of-the-art sensors. There aren’t actually any indexing plunger variants lacking from Ganter’s portfolio. Nevertheless, the development team consistently succeeds in integrating new functionality that opens up new application possibilities. The most recent indexing plunger development is pneumatically actuated. Plus, the part also detects both end positions with just a single sensor. This makes GN 817.7 a logical advancement over the manually operated indexing plunger GN 817.6. The new variant can also be used in hard-to-reach locations and can be integrated into automated processes. What’s more, GN 817.7 can be used as a replacement for GN 817.6 without any changes in dimensioning or signal processing. The position detection of GN 817.7 is once again based on proven magnet technology but with some important new innovations. Not only are both end positions now detected but they can also be individually defined. The sensor teaching can be performed directly on-site with a small operating element on the sensor, which is held in place by a clip and supported by a cable. There are even LEDs for visual feedback. The other option for teaching is to use the convenient IO-Link feature via the system control unit. This standardized interface makes teaching a quick affair and also allows for immediate replacement in the case of faults, which significantly reduces downtime. The high signals upon reaching the respective end positions are transmitted directly over the 4-pin M8 cable plug to the control unit of the system. Smart Products from norelem – The solution for error-free machining processes.
Under the keyword Industry 4.0, production facilities are increasingly developing into "smart factories" in which individual production steps are monitored in real time with the help of intelligent machines and sensors and the overall process is organized more effectively. norelem also has some of these "smart products" in its range. Smart products independently collect and transmit their own production and operating data to other devices. However, they can not only store data, but can also be equipped with individual production information, so that the networked product can, for example, put itself into operation and control its own production process. This communication between product and machine – and humans who monitor both – simplifies and optimizes many previously complex processes in production and the workshop. Everything on GREEN with the Smart Products from norelem Smart products are the ideal solution when it comes to machining workpieces with as few errors as possible

SMART Safety System
BERNSTEIN supplies the system solution for the complete safeguarding of machines and thus offers the complete package of intelligent electronic safety technology. The SMART Safety System includes, for example, the non-contact RFID safety sensor SRF, the electronic emergency stop SEU and the safety evaluations SCR P and SCR DI. During development, BERNSTEIN attached particular importance to the patented DCD diagnostic system, which collects extensive data from each connected device and makes them available centrally and flexibly in the sense of intelligent production.

Software
Software products for sensors make it easy to set up and parameterize single or multiple sensors from a central controller. They also make it possible to carry out instrument-independent calculations, maintain sensors remotely, and provide remote access to equipment in the event of support.
Solutions for measuring and testing
Ensure the quality of your workpieces or components with the help of semi- or fully-automatic measuring or testing stations and guarantee one hundred percent quality control with minimal time expenditure. You know and we know that even the smallest production errors can have cost-intensive consequences. Let us analyze together whether automation is at all possible in your specific quality inspection process and whether it is economically feasible. Depending on the scope of the measuring and testing task, we are happy to implement tactile, optical or electrical as well as flow or leak testing together with specialized partners and integrate this sometimes specifically developed technology in our stations and systems. We look forward to your inquiry!

SPE Connector HARTING T1 Industrial
SPE interface now also available in robust M12 housing Single Pair Ethernet makes the implementation of the IIoT possible. With increased data rates, power over data line and longer ranges with less use of resources, it is the key technology for the digitalisation of the field level. In order to meet the requirements of this area of application, HARTING will be presenting the T1 Industrial in a robust M12 interface at HANNOVER MESSE 2023. Both cables and device sockets now offer device developers and installers a suitably protected variant for sensor-to-cloud cabling. As usual with M12 interfaces, the robust metal housing offers excellent EMC protection and an IP protection class of 65/67.

Special solution becomes standard
When it comes to cam action indexing plungers, Ganter offers something very special: the new cam action indexing plungers from the GN 721 series with stop for left- or right-handed operation available with optional locking function. Admittedly, Ganter already offers a very wide range of cam action indexing plungers. Yet frequent inquiries from customers for special designs prompted the company to add another standard part to its extensive standard product range. More specifically, the cam action indexing plungers from the GN 721 series differ in that they limit the range of action to 180 degrees and offer the option of left- or right-hand lock. This allows multi-lock applications to be created with the same direction of movement, and therefore easier handling of valves or other components. In principle, the curve transforms the 180 degree rotation of the lock into an axial lift. If the spring-loaded lock does not unintentionally snap back from this end position, other optional designs with reliable lock notch are available. Also optional: the lock nut pursuant to ISO 8675, which counters the cam action indexing plunger that can be mounted via the external thread in a specific assembly position, and thus guarantees a defined, construction-related locking position. In addition to the normal steel design, the cam action indexing plunger is also available in stainless steel. In both material versions, the lock is available with and without polyamide valve. Other customer-specific special solutions are also possible—for example, cam action indexing plungers with different curve slopes, smaller swivel ranges, special geometries, with a center position or specific locking ranges. Spider RS3 and RS4 series
Like a spider in its web A unique four-axis design makes the Epson Spider extremely compact and incredibly fast. Its outstanding precision means it can reach 100% of the positions in its action field, offering you everything you need for efficient production. Closing the gap The tool axis is positioned centrally over the production area, allowing the Epson Spider to reach with ‘short cut’ movements, every point of the cylindrical work area directly, whilst requiring very little space. In conventional SCARA robots, the work area design is kidney shaped, known as ‘dead space’ and an outward robot arm orientation means that travel paths are longer. The Epson Spider does not have any dead space, resulting in more efficient and productive travel paths.
