Showcase Magnetic Gear
Demonstration Gearbox for Visualizing a Magnetic Gear This demonstrator is designed to illustrate the operating principle of a magnetic gear. In the shown configuration, the ring gear is rigidly fixed to the housing. The system is driven via the 6-pole rotor. The modulator rotates with a transmission ratio of i = 5.6, meaning it turns 5.6 times slower than the rotor. Torque transmission without mechanical contact – and without lubrication.

Test bench drive with magnetic gearbox
The test bench motor with integrated magnetic gear is designed for dynamic high-speed applications. The motor operates at 400 V and 8.2 A, delivering a maximum torque of 28 Nm and a rated torque of 14 Nm. Combined with a magnetic gear featuring a transmission ratio of 7.33, the system enables rotational speeds of up to 33,000 rpm with a maximum output torque of 1.9 Nm. This makes the drive ideal for compact test benches, high-speed validation setups, and applications requiring high power density.
