Smart Field Automation - The accessories for the Field Drive System®
Do you have components that need to be supplied with 24V DC in the system field? Then the decentralized power supply Power Suppy 24V is just right! The SFA Power Supply 24V provides an isolated voltage to supply the decentralized peripherals in the industrial environment. The integrated energy management provides the voltage to four contact points with a high degree of protection, such as M8 and M12 socket, with standardized pin assignment. The outputs have different priorities and can therefore be used in the system planning to ensure system availability. In addition, all device-internal parameters such as voltage, current and device temperature are monitored and controlled, which contributes to a high level of system and device safety. This means that an overload or short circuit in a segment can be detected, switched off and signaled. During this time, other segments continue to be supplied with sufficient energy. A brief overload capacity of the outputs is possible when the system starts up. The device is designed for both single-phase and symmetrical two- or three-phase operation. The "intelligent" Power Supply 24V is not application-specific and has a high power density.

Power & Free Controller
The decentralized Power & Free Controller with protection class IP65 is the efficient solution for the decentralized automation of Power & Free Conveyor facilities. This is the MSF-Vathauer expertise in decentralized automation at its best. The P&F controller is mounted decentralized, close to the actuator along the material handling layout. It controls an actuator (solenoid, rotary magnet or similar) of the corresponding load trolley via an energy bus and databus system. Each P&F controller belonging to the conveying process will be controlled accordingly via an energy bus and a databus, which will be introduced in a standard wire (no hybrid wire). Several inputs for initiators, RS 485-input (e.g. for an RFID Antenna) and a hand controller ensure a flexible and an effortless installation. Thanks to the integrated actuator-energy management the system energy is reduced. This makes the Power & Free all the more efficient, both for you and your customers.

Frequency inverters for vibratory conveyor systems
With the VECTOR 54-Vibrodrive we offer you the exactly those functions you need for the reliable control of circular as well as linear vibratory conveyors. With added value and nothing less! The VECTOR 54-Vibrodrive is the ideal frequency inverter for the operation of circular and linear vibratory conveyors. Thanks to the robust aluminium housing, with IP45 the VECTOR 54 fits in at any point along the conveyor line. The integrated potentiometer for conveyor speed adjustment, as well as the built-in power switch, are further quality features that make this product very user-friendly. The built-in LCD-display helps you when searching of the resonance frequency, at the start-up, maintenance or the change of transported material. This allows you to continue production within only a few minutes and ensures minimum downtimes. Just connect the VECTOR 54-Vibrodrive to your system control via the optional profibus-interface, and from there you have access to all device and process parameters.

Frequency inverters for trams and subways
The VECTOR 20-Railway is a real alternative to all conventional control devices for the control and regulation of ventilation systems in trams, subways, and trains. The robust design and its permanently screwed connections allows for use in any application. With its compact design, the VECTOR 20 Railway can be mounted in any system. Its robust aluminium housing protects against EMC interference injections and against EMC interference emissions. The VECTOR 20-Railway has been developed, tested and manufactured according to relevant standards for rail vehicles and meets the standards for environmental assessment. In addition, it is vibration-proof and shockproof. The VECTOR 20-Railway can be controlled by the vehicle control via the screwed-on I/O module or via the integrated serial interface. Optionally, a CANopen communication bus is available.

Tact-switching device DTSG
The digital tact switching device DTSG 4 IP54 is the efficient solution for your applications of conveyor engineering regarding accurate cycles in electric asynchronous motors. With freely- selectable operation and break periods, the DTSG continuously monitors the conveyor belt and reacts accordingly to external handling systems such as injection moulding machines, or empties the fully loaded transport belt via the "conveyor evacuation function". The sturdy aluminium housing works at the same time as a cooling body under protection class IP54, and with the standard integrated "Multi-Mounting" function it can be mounted in various positions on your machine. In the process, the DTSG recognizes the fitting position and it automatically controls the two-button operator display to ensure operating comfort even under difficult reading conditions.

Frequency inverter VECTOR 20
The VECTOR 20 is our compact and versatile single-phase frequency inverter, which is characterized by its slim design and modular structure. It is ideal for use in control cabinets with a power output of 0.09 kW to 3.0 kW. Thanks to the standardized modular structure, the VECTOR 20 is easy to operate and expandable with additional functional modules (positioning module, field bus module, I/O modules). With its pre-set device parameters, this frequency inverter is immediately ready for use and efficiently solves tasks right from the beginning. This model features all elements of MSF-Vathauer renowned expertise: EMV-filter integration even in the smallest of spaces Robustness thanks to aluminium housing VECTOR regulation for precise positioning tasks Various field bus communications The VECTOR 20 is mounted inside a control cabinet. The sturdy Aluminum housing also serves as a cooling body and allows for a space-saving serial layout (in a row) of multiple devices. This way, topologies can be implemented in the smallest available spaces. In centrifuges, extruders, pumps, or in conveyor systems, VECTOR 20 may be applied in the standard version. For any additional and special requirements, additional module are available to expand your frequency inverter.

Frequency inverter VECTOR 54
The VECTOR 54 is a single-phase space-saving all-rounder frequency inverter for particular field applications. Due to its robust aluminium housing, this frequency inverter is particularly useful in dusty and moist environments. It represents the ultimate drive traction solution in the power range between 0.09 kW and 2.2 kW, with a focus on speed control and regulation of asynchronous motors. This model features all elements of MSF-Vathauer renowned expertise, combing EMV-filter integration even in the smallest of spaces, a robust system with high protection types and VECTOR regulation for precise positioning tasks or various field bus communications. The protection type IP54 (optional IP66) requires no additional control cabinet. Furthermore, thanks to the "multi-mounting" strategy, the frequency inverter can be mounted at any position on the system. As an option, the VECTOR 54 can also be supplied pre-mounted with connecting cables for power supply, motor and control. Customized versions are also available upon request.

Frequency inverter VECTOR eco
The VECTOR eco with protection class IP44 is ready for use. Ideal for the following tasks: small and modular conveyor lines, packaging machines, fans and pumps - decentralized, with no control cabinet required. Because of its sturdy aluminium housing, this frequency inverter is particularly useful in rough environments. It also provides a user-friendly operation and handling of the speed control of asynchronous motors. Thanks to the performance scaling of only one size 0.09 kW to 0.75 kW, VECTOR eco solves simple conveying applications fast and efficiently. It has been designed for modular transport belts, packaging machines or for mixer applications. Thanks to the sturdy aluminium housing, protection class IP44, its "socket suitability " as well as operating elements such as the set-value potentiometer and main power switch, the VECTOR eco is perfectly suitable and excellent for workstations with manual labour and picking stations.

Frequency Inverter VECTOR basic
Additionally to the standard model, the frequency inverter VECTOR Basic-POT is equipped with an integrated set-value potentiometer. This model also offers you all the necessary features you need for reliable speed control of asynchronous motors. With a substantial added value and no less. The mounting assistant, the PUSH-IN terminals and the preset device parameters, enable incredibly short mounting and start-up times. The 7-segment LED screen displays all device settings, to allow for comfortable readings even when access to the device is hindered. Thanks to the built-in set value potentiometer, setting the motor speed no longer requires function keys but is realised by the rotary potentiometer which enables continuous adjustment. The integrated EMV-Filter enables you to connect unshielded motor cables of up to 1 metre in length to each asynchronous motor in compliance with the strict industrial EMV-Standards. This will help you help you to save time and costs during the assembly process. There is an EMV set available for shielded motor wires. The integrated restart-stop device prevents the restart of the VECTOR basic in case of voltage line loss after releasing the EMERGENCY STOP button. The VECTOR basic therefore complies with the respective machine guideline without any additional cost.

Field Drive System® - Decentralized Drive Automation
Minimum effort – Maximum gain: The decentralized Motormanagement System Field Drive System® is a reliable Intralogistics-Tool. The consistent integration of energy distribution along with state-of-the-art quick plug-in technology makes the set-up times substantially shorter, and helps saving the invested resources and reduces the investment costs of your conveyor system. The energy distribution for 3x400 VAC takes place via the integrated energy distributor. Additional sensors can be attached to the equipment along with numerous bus communication modules. The signals are reported directly to the plant control centre at no additional cost and get processed from there onward.

Energy-Recovery-System (ERS)
In your applications is there potential energy from lifting, lowering and braking movements converted by braking resistors into heat loss? Take advantage of the potential energy with the Energy-Recovery-System! With the installation of our Energy Recovery System (ERS), the regenerative power of your servo- or standard drive is no longer lost. The regenerative unit ERS serves as a centralised or decentralised feedback of energy via the connected frequency inverter to the system network The ERS is suitable for both, new installations and for retrofitting of existing plants and is connected to all the frequency inverters with lead-out links. The ERS is available in 2 types of protection, so the device is ideally suited to your local circumstances. The system marked IP20 is installed in the control cabinet. The ERS is also available in the IP54 version with slightly larger dimensions. This model can be freely installed in an industrial environment - a control cabinet is no longer necessary. The IP54-ERS is also splash-proof. The cables can be customized for customer-specific production. Your benefits Reduce energy costs: Because with the ERS, you reduce the overall energy consumption of your system. No heating: No rising of the ambient temperature through the elimination of brake resistors; air-conditioning is unnecessary. Save control cabinet space: The assembly of braking resistors in the control cabinet does not apply because the ERS can also be decentralized mounted in your application. 2 Protection types: The ERS is available in protection classes IP20 and IP54. The advantage of the compact Hygienics stainless steel gear is most evident in mechanical engineering applications with increased environmental conditions. The material AISI 316L, the VITON rings with stainless steel AISI 316L sheathing, the high degree of protection IP69K and the entire design of the gear unit in stainless steel AISI 316L enable use in all applications in the food industry, the chemical industry, the pharmaceutical industry as well as in poultry processing or fish processing. In addition, they achieve a high degree of efficiency and have wear-free toothing. This results in a high level of energy efficiency. The maintenance-free design increases profitability and efficiency.

HYGIENICS - solutions made of aluminum and stainless steel
“Hygienics” stainless steel motors made of stainless steel 316L, IP69K for food processing, pharmaceuticals and other applications for extreme cleanliness and frequent washing. In food, beverage or chemical-pharmaceutical production plants, the engines, together with other parts, are often exposed to high pressure water jets (sometimes also at high temperatures) or to even more aggressive cleaning agents. Stainless steel motors can withstand this operating condition, which in contrast to motors of other types can be damaged or even soiled. In contrast to standard motors, the stainless steel series has no cooling, no paint that can flake off and no surface that can rust. This means that waste products can be easily washed away and that no residues are left on the device and the motor can be used in food processing without hesitation.
