
Hybrid cable One Cable Solution OCS - Connected at a distance
STOBER has further developed its One Cable Solution (OCS) in cooperation with encoder manufacturer HEIDENHAIN and launched the next generation on the market. With the future-proof HEIDENHAIN EnDat® 3 protocol, the new hybrid cable can reliably connect motors and drive controllers at a distance of up to 100 metres. The user receives a complete system consisting of synchronous servomotor, cable and matching drive controller. To connect a motor to a drive controller, two cables are usually used: one transmits the encoder data, the other the electrical power. With OCS, a hybrid cable takes over both tasks. With small weak points: If the encoder and drive controller are further than 15 metres apart, the data can no longer be transmitted without interference. In this case, one output choke per cable becomes necessary. This component is expensive and requires additional space in the control cabinet. Since chokes generate heat, appropriate cooling is required. STOBER has solved these problems in cooperation with HEIDENHAIN: They have further developed the already existing STOBER single-cable solution and optimised it especially for highly dynamic applications in drag chains.

IBH Link UA Quad Core 64 Bit
Embedded OPC UA server/client with integrated firewall for SIMATIC, Mitsubishi and Rockwell controllers. It is a compact device for DIN rail mounting with two 1Gbit Ethernet ports and a 24V power supply. The IBH Link UA Quad Core 64 Bit is a much more powerful device for demanding applications, as it works with a 64 bit 1.8 Ghz processor with 4GB RAM. ihD - The decentralized servo inverter with hybrid cable connection
Maximum flexibility One particular highlight of the ihD is its adaptable connection technology: the input hybrid connector can be configured to face either the rear or the top, depending on the installation. In the stand-alone version of the ihD, a 300-degree rotatable plug is also available for motor and encoder connections. This makes integration into existing machine concepts much easier, saving both space and cabling. Minimal cabling effort The distinctive feature of the decentralized ihD servo inverter is its hybrid cabling concept. A single cable transmits power, STO (Safe Torque Off), 24 volts and communication in equal measure, connecting all interlinked components using the daisy chain method. This significantly reduces installation effort. Compared to a centralized concept, it saves up to 70 percent of cabling costs. Flexible and robust The ihD is available as a stand-alone version or as motor-integrated version ihD-DT5. It offers the user a wide range of power ratings and a high degree of flexibility: with a rated current of eight amps, even a triple overload* does not push the device to its limits. This gives the user greater freedom and flexibility when it comes to designing drive axes. The NC joining module Integrated Joining System IJSys Type 2168A... with integrated servo amplifier, strain gauge force sensor, and functional safety for a nominal joining force of 2.5 kN is particularly suitable for force-displacement-monitored assembly and joining processes. - Standardized interface according to ISO 15552 - Force sensor for precise measurement and process control - Easy installation thanks to integrated power electronics - High dynamics thanks to direct drive - Compact design The Integrated Joining System IJSys Type 2168A... electromechanical joining modules combine all the components necessary for a reliable joining process in a compact and robust housing. The ball screw drive converts the rotary motion of the integrated servomotor into linear motion, enabling standard functions such as joining to block, position and force-controlled joining, as well as movement to intermediate positions. Force measurement is performed by the strain gauge force sensor integrated in the flange, which is digitized directly in the unit. In addition to the sensor- and drive technology, the safety technology required for operation is also integrated. Safe Torque Off (STO) and a holding brake with Safe Brake Control (SBC) are available for this purpose. Correct wiring of the safety technology, a 24 VDC supply to the logic, and a 48 VDC supply to the power unit are required for operation. Communication with the joining module takes place in real time via EtherCAT. In addition to force-displacement information, control and status signals are also transmitted.
