Electronics development
Our development department combines all areas of expertise under one roof: hardware and software design, circuit board layout, EMC-compliant design and mechanical integration. From the concept phase to prototype construction and series production, we accompany our customers as a strong partner every step of the way. Thanks to close integration with our own production facilities, projects benefit from short coordination channels, high efficiency and optimal time-to-market. Individual requirements are implemented precisely – whether they involve complex embedded systems, sensor technology, wireless solutions or complete control units. State-of-the-art development tools, an experienced team of engineers and technicians, and direct access to testing and inspection technology ensure the highest quality and reliability. Our approach: think functionally, design efficiently and respond flexibly. Thanks to decades of experience in a wide range of industries – from industrial and transport technology to building automation and IoT – we develop solutions that stand the test of time in demanding environments.

Electronics manufacturing
As a reliable partner for electronics manufacturing, dresden elektronik offers comprehensive E²MS services – from the initial idea to the market-ready product. In Dresden, we manufacture in a highly automated, quality-assured manner that is 100% Made in Germany. Our modern production environment combines SMT and THT assembly, component assembly, cable assembly and mechanical integration under one roof. With precise process control and continuous quality assurance, we ensure consistently high product quality – even for complex projects. Series production naturally includes extensive testing and inspection procedures, including AOI, flying probe and functional tests, which guarantee maximum reliability. This is complemented by professional rework and repair management, which guarantees long-term delivery capability and service. Short communication channels between development and production ensure efficiency and flexibility – changes can be implemented quickly and reliably. We always focus on the individual requirements of our customers, whether for single items, small series or large series. Our production follows a clear principle: precision, transparency and reliability. Because our work is only complete when our customers are satisfied.

Emergency-Stop Devices
Georg Schlegel GmbH & Co. KG is offering a comprehensive range of emergency-stop devices allowing to fulfil the requirements of typical applications of different branches - ranging from the machine building industry, plant engineering up to the lift, vehicle, shipbuilding and crane building industry. Customer can choose from a variety of traditional versions. The illuminated variants offer a plus in safety compared to standard emergency-stops, as they signal the active/inactive status of the emergency-stop by means of a clear colouring. Also here, Schlegel offers different products and has developed an emergency-stop with diagnostic unit which constantly monitors the status of the illumination. Self-monitoring emergency-stop devices The production of products and goods is mostly done by complex and extensive production facilities. Nowadays, those facilities are no longer operated as complete systems, they are divided in individual areas. This sectioning has the advantage that the facilities can be adapted to production changes much quicker and that they are more failure-proof in whole. The modular structure offers also other advantages. Among others individual parts can be safeguarded by a separate emergency-stop device. In case of a failure in the production or in case of danger for a person, the relating part of the installation is put into a safe state by operating its individual emergency-stop, the rest of the system keeps on running. When using emergency-stop devices it always has to be considered that the emergency-stop function is a complementary protective measure and may not be used as substitute for other protective measures or safety functions!

Emergency-stops with pull release FRPVK
Georg Schlegel GmbH & Co. KG expands its emergency-stop program for the SHORTRON series with pull to release variants. The new variants are available without contact blocks for base-plate mounting and with contact blocks for faston terminals or PCB-mounted terminals. The versions with faston terminals are available with 1 NC, 2 NC, 2 NC + 1 NO and as illuminated type with 2 NC contacts. For the emergency-stops for PCB-mounting there are 2 NC and 2 NC + 1 NO contacts available. The mechanical life of the emergency-stops is approximately 30.000 switching cycles with a maximum pulling force of 160 N. Their protection class is IP65/IP67 and the maximum operation temperature is -25° C - 70° C. The NC contacts are with positive opening according to EN60947-5-1. The emergency-stops are designed for a mounting diameter of 22.3 mm and have a mounting depth of 9.2 mm to 18.1 mm, depending on their version.
